The most important reason to join; to keep the American Legion the strongest voice in Congress fighting to uphold the rights and benefits of Veterans.  There isn’t room to tell about the entire American Legion in this one brief article.  But take my word, it’s truly a great patriotic and community service minded organization with a respected tradition.  It’s veterans, spouses of veterans, sons of veterans still serving America.  It’s people helping people.  It’s Americans taking care of America.
